Exploring the Best of Ceiling Interiors, Latest Sale Week 04122017

This week Latest Sale explores Ceiling Interiors for the Interior Design Business Directory. Often some of the most minimalistic designed rooms can be accentuated with simple touches of brilliance whether this be captivating pieces of artwork or soft furnishings. A more popular trend moving forward into 2018 will be an emphasis on ceiling interiors.

Historically, decorative ceilings have portrayed beautiful works of art and can be seen vividly at cultural sites such as the Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London, UK. The Painted Hall at the Royal Naval College displays the spectacular, baroque, maritime and trading successes of Great Britain through ceiling artwork. The Lower Hall ceiling celebrates the Triumph of Peace and Liberty over Tyranny. The ceiling works of art at the Royal Naval College include the figures of King William and Queen Mary created between 1708 and 1714.

With this trend taking effect in the 21st century, ceiling artwork will vary from artwork to decorative antique wall coverings or hanging artefacts, including bold lampshades and indented ceiling designs.
