Starting from the 13th June 2015 until 31st January 2016, the Victoria and Albert Museum (#victoriaandalbert) will exhibit Shoes: Pleasure and Pain (#vamshoes). The exhibition will look at the many elaborate ways shoes have been developed over the years. The exhibit will also feature extreme results that have provided anything but comfort and practicality. The Pleasure and Pain exhibition will present an incredible 200 pairs of shoes ranging from a sandal decorated in pure gold leaf originating from ancient Egypt to some of the most elaborate designs created by contemporary manufacturers. In addition, the exhibition will feature examples of rare, historic and very famous pairs of shoes.
Located in South Kensington, Cromwell Road, London SW7 2RL, the Pleasure and Pain exhibition is open from 10:00 to 17:45 daily and 10:00 to 22:00 on Fridays.
