VR and fitness-related startups have attracted significant venture capital investments. In 2021, VR fitness company Supernatural raised $30 million in a Series B funding round led by venture capital firm Lightspeed Venture Partners. For Corporate Investments, Facebook’s subsidiary Oculus has invested in VR fitness platforms, such as FitXR, which raised $6.3 million in a funding round led by Hiro Capital and Maven Capital Partners.<\/p>\n

Data from the VR Fitness Insider survey suggests that VR workouts can provide higher calorie burn compared to traditional fitness activities. For example, Beat Saber, a popular VR rhythm game, was found to burn an average of 6.18 calories per minute, comparable to intense cardio activities.<\/p>\n
