DESCRIPTION/ INSPIRATION:

This piece showcases the views across the Sussex hills and the innate beauty of day turning into dusk. The end of another day has arrived, leaving the viewer able to react with it. It symbolizes the struggles of the day are over, bringing forth an inner sense of peace and tranquility.
Robert Meldrum’s work is influenced by and grounded in the style of American painters such as Rauschenberg, Johns and Guston. He uses similar domestic paints influenced from the Neo Dada movement. This also gives him the freedom to use traditional painter’s materials so he may experiment more in the process.
